When the number of renewable energy power generation facilities that utilize solar and wind power increases, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry responds to emergencies such as disasters even for people who do not have specialized national qualifications so that there will be no shortage of human resources to secure the facilities. I decided to relax the system so that I could do it.

When installing large-scale power generation facilities such as mega solar, mountainous areas and offshore wind power generation among renewable energies, the installer has a professional national qualification that can respond on-site within 2 hours in case of emergency such as destruction due to a disaster. It is required by law to secure people who have it.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is not qualified based on the estimation that if the number of power generation facilities with a voltage of 50,000 volts or more and less than 170,000 volts increases by about 100 per year, there will be a shortage of about 1,000 personnel for security in 2030. We decided to relax the system so that even people can respond to emergencies.

Specifically, the policy is to secure people who meet certain requirements such as learning emergency response regularly and having knowledge and skills of equipment, and if it can respond to the instructions of the qualification holder, there is no problem at the earliest. It is expected to be revised next month.

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry intends to improve the efficiency of inspections and emergency response while ensuring the safety of power generation facilities in anticipation of the expansion of the introduction of renewable energy toward the realization of a carbon-free society, and will use remote monitoring and drones. We are also considering inspections.
