It was last summer that Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry announced their collaboration with Netflix.

Through their production company Archewell Productions, the couple will create documentaries, feature films, TV series and children's programs for the streaming giant.

According to information to The Times, the agreement will be worth close to one billion Swedish kronor.

One of the projects is the animated series "Pearl", a family series about a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by a variety of influential women throughout history, which Meghan Markle would produce together with David Furnish.

But with declining subscription numbers and a declining share, Netflix has had to review its offering and the Pearl project, which was still in the development stage, has now been ironed out.

According to sources within Netflix, however, it is still "bullish" on the Archewell deal with several upcoming projects, such as the documentary series about Invictus games.

The series is about the prince's sports competition for military veterans who have become disabled during service.

The competition was founded in 2014.
