In certain areas of Dublin, it is not uncommon to come face to face with horses roaming the streets.

For years working class families have kept them in the back of their homes or in makeshift stables and teenagers carry on this tradition.

It's a complicated showdown.

On the one hand, there are associations for which horses no longer have anything to do in the city center, it's mistreatment.

And on the other, these young Irish people for whom taking care of horses is a vector of meaning and identity, in a capital that swears only by tech and innovation.
