On April 30, a reporter from China News Agency learned from Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo and Nanjing Huanzi Animal Rescue Team that animal rescue volunteers captured a macaque in the east of Nanjing on the 29th and sent it to the zoo for preparation. Further quarantine and ambulance work.
Judging from the appearance and range of activities, this macaque is likely to be the "big brother" who has repeatedly been searched for "dominating the screen" before.
After a preliminary inspection, Chen Yuelong, technical director of the Wildlife Rescue and Rescue Center of Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo, told reporters that this is an adult male macaque, in good condition and relatively strong.
According to the data, in 2021, Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo will house and rescue parrots, owls, turtle doves, night herons, starlings, wild boars, giant salamanders, pig-nosed turtles and other wild animals, a total of 768 (head) of 144 species.
Among the rescued animals throughout the year, 125 exotic species and 643 native species were released. A total of 264 native animals of 55 species were released after isolation and treatment, accounting for 41.05% of the total native rescue animals.
