Huge fire in an apartment in Egypt .. Watch the moment a child jumped from the balcony
A fire broke out in a residential apartment on the third floor, where an elderly woman and two children are present, on Al-Teraa Street in Shubra, north of the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
A video clip documented the smoke rising from the apartment, while the parents managed to save the two children before the firefighting forces arrived.
The video showed a child throwing himself from the balcony of the apartment, while a number of young people on the second floor managed to catch him, amid applause from passers-by and neighbors who stood to follow the incident.
One of the people present at the moment of saving the child was keen to reassure the citizens, as he wrote in a comment to the video, “Praise be to God, and God, we were in torment at the time, and praise be to God, our Lord saved him.”
The security forces initiated the incident and imposed a security cordon around the property, and three fire engines were pushed until the fire was surrounded and extinguished, and cooling operations were carried out to prevent it from re-igniting again, while the elderly woman was saved from burning to death, and the fire resulted in the entire contents of the apartment being charred.
