Shortly after the release of

Blood and Tears

in 2013, Ben Foster, who plays one of the main roles in the film, told the

Guardian

that he devoured handfuls of earth during filming.

Again questioned by the publication on this subject, the actor has somewhat revised his version of the facts.

"The truth about this story is that I saw my co-workers who had just crashed down a mountain and they were laughing in between takes and I became aware of their Hollywood teething," recalled the comedian.

For the husband of Laura Prepon, it was difficult to consider that a soldier hunted down by the Taliban in the middle of the mountains of Afghanistan could keep his teeth white.

A prosperous year

“So I grabbed some dirt and put some in my mouth and the director filmed me at that point.

It seems likely that you have some in your mouth after descending a mountain.

It wasn't that calculated or impressive;

actually it wasn't impressive at all,” continued Ben Foster.

2022 is a good year for the actor since he is starring in

Emancipation

, the next Antoine Fuqua which will be broadcast on Apple TV+, and

Haut du Panier

, a Netflix film directed by Jeremiah Zagar.

He will also be in the cast of

The Survivor

, a new HBO series in which he plays the role of Harry Haft, a boxer who survived the Auschwitz concentration camp and who is trying to resume his career after the war.
