Before "Children's Day" on May 5, a park in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, at the foot of Mt. Fuji, is holding an event to raise 223 carp streamers to match the words of Mt. Fuji.

This event is held every year by Mt. Fuji Children's Country, a prefectural park in Fuji City, in conjunction with the long holidays.

At the plaza in the park, 223 colorful carp streamers such as red, black, and blue, which were collected in advance from ordinary households, are fried to match the puns of Mt. Fuji.

The children who visited enjoyed the holidays by running around under the carp streamer swimming slowly in the spring breeze against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji and taking a commemorative photo with their families.

A boy in the first grade of elementary school who visited from Iwata City with his family said with a smile, "I have never seen so many carp streamers."

His mother also said, "I wanted to please the children, so I'm glad I could show them."

Mizuho Yamada of "Mt. Fuji Children's Country" said, "We have celebrated Golden Week with no restrictions for the first time in three years. We are thoroughly implementing infection control measures, so I hope everyone will enjoy it."

This carp streamer can be enjoyed until the 13th of next month.
