The Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of two people involved in the theft of a manhole cover in one of the areas of the Third Police Department, Ismailia.
The ministry said in a statement published on its Facebook page that two people appeared in a video circulating on the social networking site Facebook, with the participation of a third fugitive accused, and they were riding a “microbus” that they used in the theft. The incident turned out to be 3 people - one of whom had criminal information - residing in Ismailia Governorate.
The ministry indicated that after legalizing the procedures, the accused were targeted, and 2 of them were arrested with 2 manhole covers. Confronting them, they confessed to committing the incident as indicated jointly with the "fugitive" accused, and legal measures were taken and efforts are being intensified to apprehend the fugitive, according to the ministry's statement.
