The National Diet Library will start a service on May 19th that will allow you to browse materials that are difficult to obtain due to out of print on your computer or smartphone.

The target is more than 1.5 million books, magazines, and dissertations that are already in electronic data and are owned by the National Diet Library.

In order to browse these materials, it was necessary to go to the National Diet Library and affiliated libraries, but due to the influence of the new coronavirus, there were calls for the introduction of services using the Internet.

If you access the website of the National Diet Library after completing user registration in advance, you will be able to view it on your personal computer, smartphone, or tablet device from May 19th.

Yasuhiro Fukubayashi, Deputy Chief of the National Diet Library Service Planning Division, said, "I want you to use the information that can only be obtained at the National Diet Library easily."

These electronic data will be available for printing from January next year.
