The American radio corporation

has reported this Friday that the journalist

has died in a bombing perpetrated by Russian forces against

, the Ukrainian capital.

The chief editor of the station's Ukrainian service, Inna Kuznetsova, confirmed the information and lamented that during the attack a rocket hit the journalist's apartment.

For his part, RFE journalist Oleksandr Demchenko has indicated on his Facebook account that a "Russian missile hit his home."

"Vera was there all night," he asserted.

The bombing took place on Thursday during the visit to the country of the Secretary General of the United Nations, António Guterres.

As part of this attack, a dozen people were injured, four of whom had to be hospitalized.

However, the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, has asserted that later the rescue services found the body of a lifeless man in the rubble of a house.
