[Explanation] In the live broadcast room, Guo Yuang, a "post-90s" Peking Opera actor, held a folding fan, and the reverberation of the song "Matchmaker" lingered around the beam, bringing the audience into the world of Peking Opera.

[Commentary] Guo Yuang was born in Yinchuan, Ningxia. He was fascinated by the senior "fancier" grandma since childhood, and has a strong interest in Peking Opera.

At the age of 12, Guo Yuang entered a professional drama school and began to systematically study Peking Opera.

In 2017, Guo Yuang, who was studying at the Beijing Academy of Opera, joined Zhang Nanyun, a famous master of the Mei School.

When I was taking the university entrance exam, my enlightenment teacher asked me to go to Shanghai to visit Teacher Tong Xiangling and Teacher Zhang Nanyun.

So when I was a freshman, I worshipped Zhang Nanyun as my teacher.

[Explanation] In 2020, due to the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the opera industry has been impacted, and many offline performances have been cancelled and postponed.

At this time, Guo Yuang became attached to the live broadcast through the school's online class and began to try "cloud singing" online, but he did not expect it to become popular all of a sudden.

When I live broadcast, they will sort out the subtitles I sing and type them on the screen. This kind of harmonious and warm feeling (action) makes me feel very moved.

So there are more and more people in the live broadcast room. Seeing the increase in the number of people, I think we should stick to it.

[Commentary] Online singing is different from theater performances. Although the actors and the audience are separated by thousands of mountains and rivers, they are brought closer through real-time comments.

Online, viewers can comment under the screen and interact with real-time typing.

This has replaced the previous method (communication) that people wrote and mailed when performing in theaters.

In this way, the anchor can see the audience's message in real time and then make an answer. It is a communication without distance.

[Commentary] During the live broadcast, Guo Yuang will also introduce some easy-to-understand knowledge of Peking Opera to the audience. After singing an excerpt of Peking Opera, he will also describe the meaning of the aria in vernacular, so that more young audiences can "understand" Peking Opera .

The response is still very good, because there are many young audiences who will like it very much.

It is even said that after watching me perform Peking Opera in the live room, they will take the initiative to walk into the theater to watch Peking Opera.

[Commentary] Now, many of Guo Yuang's classmates and colleagues have also begun to actively participate in the live broadcast to spread the culture of opera online.

Talking about the future, Guo Yuang said that he will organize and edit more Peking Opera repertoires, spread and promote them online.
