With a sharp drop in January and a slighter one in February, the number of unemployed fell sharply in the first quarter, according to Dares.
The direction of the Animation of research, Studies and Statistics thus recorded 5% less unemployed in category A for this period.
Last February, the number of category A unemployed fell by -0.3% (10,500 people) compared to December.
The number of job seekers then stood at 3.196 million.
In January, this decline was ten times greater (-3.1%, or 102,500 fewer unemployed).
