Re-elected President Emmanuel Macron went Thursday afternoon to the Percy military hospital, in Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine), with soldiers injured in external operations, reported the Elysee.

For one of his first trips since his re-election on Sunday, the head of state “went to the bedside of wounded soldiers”, according to his entourage, adding: “It is important for him to go see the soldiers”.

Elected president in 2017, Macron also devoted one of his first trips to visiting wounded soldiers.

He was accompanied Thursday by his wife Brigitte Macron.
