The municipality of Nampty (Somme) is fed up with the illegal dumping of garbage and has made it known.

On its Facebook page, the municipal team denounced this Tuesday the “incivility of certain people who have no respect for those who act for the good life in our village”.

The publication was accompanied by photos showing abandoned waste in the town and in nature.

Risk of fine

In the post there is also a visual reminding that the authors of these incivilities are liable to a fine of 135 euros rising to 375 euros after 45 days.

"If you do not pay, the judge can set the fine at a maximum of 750 euros (Or up to 1,500 euros, with confiscation of the vehicle, if you used it to transport the waste"), we also learn.

It is recalled that the mayor and his deputies are authorized to verbalize.

The message asks residents who witness these deposits or who know their authors to come forward.

It also indicates the opening hours of the recycling center located a few kilometers from Nampty.
