Since the beginning of the announcement of his participation in the drama race for Ramadan this year, the series “Rejein ya Hawa” has been able to reserve its place among viewers, based on the fact that it is one of the works of the late writer Osama Anwar Okasha, who, over many years, presented many dramatic works, which formed signs In the history of Egyptian drama, such as: “The Witness and Tears”, “The Journey of Abu Al-Ela Al-Bishri” and “Nights of the Dream”.

With the show "We're Back, My Love", it seemed to be setting one foot in the nineties of the last century, and another at the present time.

The series is based on a novel of the same name that was presented as a radio work in 2004, and Okasha wanted to present it to television, and the series was written by Muhammad Suleiman Abdel Malik, directed by Muhammad Salama.

The events revolve around Baligh Abu El-Hana, who returns to Egypt after years of absence, in search of his inheritance to pay off huge debts, as a result of his trade losses in Europe. A more difficult task, how to reunite the family with love and brotherhood again, at the same time, his old love story with (Frida) resurfaces, and he enters a new emotional experience with Dr. (Maggie).

The series carries the spirit of Osama Anwar Okasha, and the atmosphere of the nineties, which appears in the old family house in the Jamaliyeh neighborhood, in which Baligh resides upon his return, and the house of the uncle played by the artist Ahmed Badir, although the details of the popular neighborhood did not appear clearly in the events.

On the other hand, the story of the work is not new to Arab drama in general, and to Okasha’s work in particular, as the theme of the hero who comes from afar and tries to save his family members from problems and loss and reunite them, was previously presented by the writer in more than one work, the most prominent of which is “Journey Abu Al-Ela Al-Bishri, starring the late artist Mahmoud Morsi.

Likewise, the character of the hero who is immersed in his problems, but he tries his best to solve the problems of his family members and those close to him and restore harmony between them. In the series "Arabesque", while some pioneers of social networking sites considered that (Bligh) more similar to the character (Bishr Amer Abdel Zaher), the hero of the series "Zezenia", presented by the artist Yahya Al-Fakharani.

Okasha's touches and characters, and viewers' nostalgia for his works and the atmosphere of the nineties, are strengths thanks to which the work gained high viewership among the works presented during this month, in addition to its richness in decorations, costumes and photography.

But at the same time, he suffers from hiccups, most notably the slow pace and lack of events, in light of allowing relatively long periods of time for side dialogues between the heroes that could have been shortened, but came to fill the void to complete 30 episodes.

The performance of the characters was also uneven. While the artists Khaled Al-Nabawy, Ahmed Badir, Nour, Tariq Abdel Aziz, Hana Shiha, Nour Al-Nabawi and Salma Abu Deif excelled, the performance of the artist Wafaa Amer was characterized by exaggeration and the use of a loud voice all the time.
