The temporary loss of control over a Boeing 777 as it landed in Paris was caused by pilot error, not technical problems.

The French civil aviation authority, which is investigating the serious incident at the beginning of April, published this preliminary result on Wednesday.

When the Air France plane coming from New York landed in Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, the crew switched from the autopilot to manual control.

At a certain moment, the pilot and his co-pilot gave conflicting control commands, which led to course fluctuations and operating problems.

Later, however, no problems were found on the aircraft, and there was no alarm due to a technical failure.

When the aircraft was at an altitude of 370 meters, the crew decided to go around.

On the second try, the landing went smoothly.

People were not harmed.
