Kuwait cancels precautionary restrictions related to Corona

The Kuwaiti Cabinet held an extraordinary meeting this afternoon, and after the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr. Muhammad Abdul Latif Al-Faris stated that in light of the continued improvement of all indicators of the epidemiological situation in the State of Kuwait and the high levels of immunization that provide community immunity, the Cabinet was informed During its meeting today, he took note of the decision of the Minister of Health, which included the following:

1 - Wearing a mask is optional inside all open and closed places, and a commitment to wearing a mask for those who have disease symptoms.

2 - Allowing individuals to enter all closed public places, regardless of immunization status, and without a PCR test.

3- Abolishing the PCR examination for those who are not immunized, as a condition of being present in educational institutions and workplaces.

4- With regard to quarantine for contacts of positive cases: - Cancellation of the quarantine period for individuals who were in contact with infected cases, regardless of the immunization status, with the commitment of individuals in contact to wear a mask for a period of (14) days from the date of the last contact, and to conduct a PCR examination in the event of symptoms appearing Within (14) days from the date of contact., and obligating infected individuals to isolate home for a period of (5) days from the date of infection, with a commitment to wear a muzzle for the following (5) days.

It was also decided to cancel the requirement of immunization and PCR examination for all those coming from abroad, regardless of the state of immunization, and to allow the return of sports fans to stadiums completely for those who are not immunized, and to limit the use of the “Shlonak” application to follow up on positive cases only, and urge worshipers to apply health requirements inside mosques and chapels such as bringing The prayer rug, wearing a mask, etc., and being careful to avoid going to the mosque for those who have contagious respiratory symptoms.

The Council of Ministers decided to cancel all decisions of the Council of Ministers previously issued in this regard and to assign the concerned authorities to implement what was stated in the decision as of Sunday, corresponding to 1-5-2022. Cabinet No. (800) issued on 06-25-2020.
