A tragic end for a husband who complained about the taste of his wife's coffee

A Tennessee woman has been arrested for stabbing her husband to death after an argument over the taste of his coffee, Action News 5 reports.

Police said they found an 81-year-old man who had been stabbed multiple times inside the house.

The unidentified victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The man spoke to the authorities and gave his account of the incident that led to his injury.

He claims he and his wife, Sheila Downey, 68, got into an argument after he complained about the taste of his coffee.

Investigation sources revealed that his wife went to the laundry room and tried to commit suicide by drinking laundry bleach, but he was able to stop her, according to the Complex website.

Police said the wife then grabbed a knife and stabbed him repeatedly.

The accused was not at home when authorities found her husband covered in his blood, but was later detained upon her return.

Borha the wife claimed that she and her husband had an argument and so decided to take a walk.

It was announced that her husband had died in hospital that evening.

After being taken to the hospital to treat the wounds on her hand, the wife was booked into a Memphis prison where she was charged with first-degree murder.
