He is a character who marks but who remained a mystery for the reader.
With this novel, we will finally know more about him.
Because after having offered us suspense mixed with a historical romance in recent years, Tonie Behar invites us to dive into a beautiful love story that spans decades.
Indeed, we follow Max and Sacha, his great love for more than fifty years, live a beautiful love story, touching but strewn with many pitfalls.
Between their debut in Paris and success in Hollywood, we take pleasure in following them and seeing them live this love story at 100 an hour.
Because Tonie Behar's pen is still as captivating as ever.
I have read each of his novels and I must admit that this last novel is the one that kept me in suspense the most.
I couldn't put it down because every time I wanted to put it down, a twist came and pushed me to continue reading.
Because this novel alternates different points of view: those of Max and Sacha.
We start in 2021 to go back to the 1960s and follow this story that unites them.
Small passages in 2021 allow us to breathe to immerse ourselves again in these periods that we would have liked to know.
Because as always, Tonie Behar has done a meticulous research work that makes the story more than authentic.
Between rock'n'roll or hippies, we travel through time and we live history as if we weren't there.
Because Tonie Behar, through this story, also talks about her convictions, in particular the animal cause.
Is it clearly visible?
Sure !
But it's all presented with a lot of subtlety without overdoing it and that's what I've always liked.
