Enthusiastic, sunny and cheerful, the smiling girl in front of her is Sun Huimei, deputy chief nurse of Nanfang Hospital. She arrived in Hong Kong on March 14 with the second batch of medical teams from the mainland to aid Hong Kong, and participated in the treatment of new crown patients at the community treatment facility of AsiaWorld-Expo. Rescue work.

With the joint efforts of medical staff from both places, the situation of the fifth wave of the epidemic in Hong Kong has gradually improved.

Recalling the experience of first arriving in Hong Kong more than a month ago, Sun Huimei said that she felt nervous and confused, but the support of her family gave her great courage.

To be honest, when I might come to (Hong Kong), my father, especially my mother, was actually very worried, because the news said that the epidemic situation in Hong Kong is very serious, and then my father has been doing ideological work for her. He just said it was nothing, he said, didn't he go to Hubei before (to participate in the fight against the epidemic), what's there to be afraid of?

They are also (anti-epidemic) "old revolutionaries". If you have anything to worry about, the country will definitely be able to protect them when they take them there, so my family actually supports my work, and I am very grateful to them.

[Explanation] Sun Huimei said that in the past two years, she has participated in the anti-epidemic work in many places.

From Enshi, Hubei to Guangzhou, Foshan and other places in Guangdong, these rich experiences let her know that only by maintaining a happy mood and ensuring her own immunity can she work and live better.

Be sure to eat well and sleep well. In our group too, everyone works very hard. They often discuss what to eat today and what to play. In fact, everyone still teases each other, maintains a happy mood, and makes one of their physical states immune. Improve your strength, and then you can work and live better.

[Explanation] In addition to keeping a happy mood, nurses often need to be patient and careful. Sun Huimei said that the non-cooperation of some elderly patients is the biggest difficulty in her work.

However, under the careful care of her and her colleagues, the patient's attitude gradually changed.

(Patient) He may feel uncomfortable with the oxygen rushing to his nose, and then every time we go over to put the oxygen on, he will wait for us to leave, he will take the oxygen off, and then you will do it a few more times. impatient.

I went over and told my grandfather, I said, grandpa, let's shave your beard for you. He was a little reluctant at first, but when he did shave him later, he was very good, closed his eyes, and then his neck I will show it to you, and after shaving, he will say that you have worked hard for you.

In fact, he didn't show a particularly happy expression on his face, but he felt a lot more relieved.

After shaving my beard, I told him, come and let us put on the oxygen, he will put on the oxygen obediently, and then on the second day and the third day, he will greet you when you come over.

[Explanation] In the day-to-day nursing work, the epidemic situation has gradually improved. Sun Huimei admitted that this anti-epidemic work is inseparable from the high cooperation of medical staff in the two places, and she has also gained a lot from it and accumulated a lot of valuable experience. .

The cooperation with the Hong Kong nurses is actually quite pleasant and harmonious.

Someone told me before that there may be some places in Hong Kong that are different from the mainland, but after we came here, I think everyone is very good. Our medical staff in Hong Kong are super polite, and their efficiency is really very high. If there is anything we need to coordinate on our side, they will respond as soon as possible. I think this is where I need to learn in the future, including some of their management models and concepts that can be learned and used for reference.

You may say that you are here to fight the epidemic, but in fact, I think it is also a learning process.
