Violence against Muslims continues in India.

A little over a week ago, the north of New Delhi, the capital, was the scene of community clashes.

Hindu nationalists have notably carried out actions to destroy places of worship and Muslim associations.

Violence that can be found in many states and which, it seems, enjoys the tacit support of the authorities.

The United States recently expressed concern about this.

Washington says it is

"monitoring some recent developments, including an increase in human rights abuses by some government, police and prison officials

 ."

How can this surge of violence against Muslims be explained?

What are its deep origins?

And how to get out?
