The shoreline of the Yangtze River in Yichang in April is full of clear water and green on both sides.
Yichang is located at the junction of the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is the location of the Three Gorges Project, an important functional area for soil and water conservation in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, and the source area of water environment security in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. nearly a quarter of the total length of the line.
Since 2018, Yichang has evacuated chemical enterprises along the Yangtze River, promoted the ecological restoration of the entire Yangtze River coastline, and continued to promote the restoration of the ecological environment protection of the Yangtze River.
Up to now, a total of 97.6 kilometers of shoreline of the main stream of the Yangtze River and 196 kilometers of tributary of the Yangtze River have been re-greened, and an area of 332.85 hectares of waterfront green space has been constructed.
