The flames shot into the sky and there were multiple explosions. The Route 3 near the scene was also thick with smoke. No one was injured in the case.

  Police said 12 heavy goods vehicles, a medium goods vehicle and a trailer were on fire at the scene.

After a preliminary investigation, the fire department believed that the cause of the fire was suspicious, and the case was classified as arson, which was handed over to the police criminal investigation team to follow up.

  According to reports, at about 3:00 a.m. on the 25th, in the open-air parking lot near the underpass of the No. 1 Container Terminal, a number of parked heavy goods vehicles caught fire.

  The fire department arrived at the scene after receiving the report and put out the fire after about 50 minutes.

  Due to the loud explosion, the sleeping residents in Kwai Chung and Lai King were woken up. The smell of smoke from the fire also spread to the houses.
