Three women and a man were stabbed to death in a house in south-east London, and the alleged perpetrator was arrested, according to the police.

Police officers found the victims on Monday night when they were called to the house in the Southwark district for disturbance of the peace, the Scotland Yard statement said.

The rescue workers could no longer help the victims.

They were pronounced dead at the scene.

The alleged perpetrator is in custody in a police station in the south of the British capital, the statement said.

Investigators assume that the suspect and the four victims knew each other.
