Slowly, slowly but surely, the Russian army and its vanguard, the armies of the people's republics of Donbass, are moving steadily, freeing the territory of Ukraine from the military formations of Nazism.

The enemy snarls, sometimes inflicts sensitive counterattacks, but in general the haze is retreating, the vast territories of the Left Bank, the land corridor to the Crimea are already under our control.

Here and there, the Russian state flag is raised over the buildings of local administrations, key objects, and heights.

The locals breathe a sigh of relief: now at least the stones from the sky, we are in the Motherland.

Symbols matter.

If in relaxed peacetime this is far from obvious to everyone, especially young people who have not experienced the brutal events of the past, then in moments of serious conflicts everything falls into place.

That is why the red flag once hoisted over the Reichstag by Yegorov and Kantaria is remembered by generations of our people.

Victory!

So it is now: Russian flags everywhere in the Donetsk region, in Kherson symbolize Moscow's inflexible will to protect its Russians from the terror of the Kyiv rabble, who imagine themselves to be superhumans.

It is interesting that the process of marking the liberated area with state and other symbols occurs spontaneously, as a rule, by participants in the battles that have just ended - and therefore have an undeniable moral right to their share of historical creativity.

With the obvious dominance of the official tricolor, other flags are also widely used, symbolizing one or another part of the vast history of Russia.

For example, in Kherson, a completely exotic crimson banner with the Savior Not Made by Hands was seen.

But most often it is the red Banner of Victory.

The phenomenon of this flag is understandable.

It was under him that the USSR defeated Nazism in its German version, which means that the banner will help even now - against the second edition of the misanthropic ideology in Kyiv.

So they think, and, most likely, feel, not really bothering to think, our military.

Indeed, what else to oppose to extreme nationalism, if not a supranational symbol?

It is not for nothing that Bandera attacked him after 2014, attacked veterans, forbade it.

And now they are threatening to attack the Immortal Regiment on May 9 in Mariupol with Tochka-U missiles.

So they are afraid.

The flag of the USSR acquired special significance after the already famous story with the “grandmother of Victory”.

An elderly resident of a Ukrainian village, a modest headscarf, went out with him to meet the liberators from Russia, who, alas, turned out to be fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Having mocked the old woman enough, they tried to "buy" her for a bag of food.

The proud woman refused, standing up for the red banner: "My parents died for this flag, and you stepped on it."

Calling the tormentors “Banderites,” she demanded that the flag be returned to her, earning the respect and admiration of all those who support Russia.

The effect of the sudden popular love was amazing.

Comparable in popularity to the letter Z. No PR technologies can achieve this.

The image of an elderly woman, associated with the great shadow of the Motherland in Volgograd, began to be replicated by amateur artists on the net, appear on the ends of houses in Russia and in liberated Ukraine.

And the head of Roskosmos even promised to place the corresponding silhouette along with the flag of the USSR on one of the spacecraft launching in the near future.

However, some faltered.

Like, the heroes of our side should be young and evil.

This is how my friend, who is now in the vicinity of Mariupol, answered this: “There are already thousands of heroes.

Young guys and girls, winning, beautiful, stylish, cheerful, cheerful.

Although it is not always possible to shoot them ... But grandmother is also a hero and an excellent symbol of this war.

Courage, that's what it is.

And love for one's Motherland - that's it, shown.

Let this Motherland no longer exist, but it is gradually returning, forming an offensive fist and returning.

Street after street, village after village.

Indeed, there is no contradiction.

The older generation won back, and with dignity.

It has achieved all the goals of demilitarization and denazification of the enemy and still preserves the memory of those great events to the best of its ability.

Young - with weapons in their hands on the front line - is doing this work for the second time in a century.

We learn about them every day from the reports of the Ministry of Defense.

"Mass heroism" was called it in the Great Patriotic War.

Among such well-known heroes are Motorola and Givi, who took on the burden of the first, most difficult stage of the struggle.

Everlasting memory.

So why don't those who lack bold and evil, young heroes of the front from our, Russian side, raise these guys to the banner?

Wider, more energetic use of their image, glorify, popularize - they deserve it.

And of course, a grandmother with a red flag too.

As well as those tens and hundreds of soldiers and officers who have already proved themselves during the special operation.

A little attention that the local authorities of Russian cities could pay to their heroic fellow countrymen, living and dead, will hold together, solder Russian society.

Now it is very necessary.
