Since it is expected that more people will enjoy fishing and marine leisure during the long holidays, the police and local governments in Fukui Prefecture will share information and deepen cooperation for the first time in places where there is a risk of water accidents. We carried out patrol.

This patrol was carried out by the police and Echizen Town by calling on five organizations involved in the marine accident.

At the departure ceremony held along the Echizen coast in Echizen Town, about 40 people from each institution gathered and departed for patrol in two groups.

Of these, at the Echizen fishing port, police officers handed out leaflets summarizing points to note while calling out to those who were fishing, "Be careful as the number of accidents during fishing is increasing."

According to the Tsuruga Coast Guard, 60 people had a marine accident on the coast of Fukui prefecture in the last year, and 19 of them were fishing and had an accident. It was the most common since I started.

Ryuta Misaki, chief of the Sabae Police Station Area Division, said, "Be sure to wear a life jacket when fishing, and be careful not to enter the restricted area and enjoy marine leisure." I did.
