How to live with tropical forests?

(Rebroadcast June 7, 2021).

In Africa, South America, Southeast Asia, how to consider seriously and sustainably the safeguarding and restoration of tropical forest basins (without taking into account the men and women who live there and who live there, in interdependence).
What could be more complex than these relationships, these links, these imbrications woven over millennia between humans and tropical forests?
And if to fight against deforestation in the Amazon or in the Congo Basin, it was no longer just a question of putting the forests under glass, but of thinking together the joint future of humans and forests?
What if the solutions were to seek better management of the forest, on a case-by-case basis, and with all its inhabitants?
