[Explanation] Worked as a massage technician, opened a massage shop, and worked as a radio host. Now, I am struggling in my life as a writer.

For Chen Guangjiong, a blind writer from Chengdu, Sichuan, the world is dark but full of "colors".

In fact, after I found out that my (eyes) were not well (treated), for nearly a year and a half, (I) were in a relatively low and hysterical state.

Because for me, I always felt as if I was about to succeed if I took another step, but a few times I didn't take that step.

And this time, I meant to be more desperate, because this eye disease is irreversible and there is no cure, so I closed myself at home for a while.

[Commentary] By chance, with the help of the staff of the Chengdu Disabled Persons' Federation, Chen Guangjiong participated in a computer training class for the blind, and began to learn how to use the computer without sight. blind friend.

Slowly, Chen Guangjiong gradually adapted to the "new" life, and even went out of his home to engage in the massage industry for the blind in Guangzhou.

[Explanation] But can blind people only work in the massage industry?

In an exchange with a friend, Chen Guangjiong came up with the idea of writing.

In the days of working hard in a foreign land, Chen Guangjiong also met more disabled friends.

Can you write a novel from the perspective of a disabled person?

The burst of inspiration made Chen Guangjiong make up his mind to write and work hard for this goal.

Because I seldom saw it before, there were very few novels that were written specifically for the blind or disabled, and some novels with this as the main line, of course there were.

So I wondered if I should (write one).

Because I am also a blind person and a disabled person, I should tell more about their stories, so that more people can see them, understand them, and then be able to understand and help them, I thought at the time of.

So in that (Guangzhou) more than two years, I was equivalent to deliberately chatting with these blind friends or disabled friends, and listening to them tell their previous lives and stories.

After I learned more, I came back and planned to start writing novels.

[Commentary] Standing in front of the computer desk, using the voice prompts of the screen-reading software, and using the keyboard to create, one station is almost six or seven hours... Since the end of 2009, starting from recording the prose that he feels and thinks, Chen Guangjie has been working day after day. creation.

As of 2016, Chen Guangjiong has written four novels totaling more than 4 million words, and has won many awards.

During this period, Chen Guangjiong also began to practice long-distance running, and slowly became a marathon enthusiast. In 2019, he published a non-fiction novel "Dark Marathon" that recorded his journey as a blind runner.

In fact, I was also quite afraid at the beginning, because I had an inexplicable fear in my heart because I couldn't see the unknown ahead.

Because I usually walk or go where I'm going, I don't dare to act recklessly like this.

But when you run, you feel that everything is empty, everything is barrier-free, and there is a kind of freedom.

In that case, I feel that it doesn't really matter if I can see or not.

[Explanation] Today, Chen Guangjiong is not only a blind writer, but also a blind vocational skills training teacher.

In his view, with the emergence of diversified business formats, the employment of the blind should also keep pace with the times.

At present, Chen Guangjiong is also writing two science fiction novels, and he hopes to create more works with depth and vitality in the future.
