On April 21, local time, in Winchester Bay, Oregon, on the southern Pacific coast of the United States, workers used heavy machinery to move a dead gray whale on the beach and bury it in a sand pit.

It is reported that the whale is an adult male gray whale, weighing about 2.72 tons.

It washed ashore a few days ago with no signs of trauma.
