A book about "Nabila Obeid's cinema" .. and the Egyptian artist says: "My private life is a red line"!

The artist, Nabila Obeid, announced that a party would be held in one of the major hotels in Cairo immediately after the end of the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, to sign the book called "Nabila Obeid Cinema", written by the writer Mahmoud Qassem, and it is the first complete book about her artistic career.

Ebeid began promoting the book through her account on Instagram, saying: "A book about Nabila Ebeid's cinema, and a lengthy review of all my films in Egyptian cinema... Written by writer, researcher and film historian Mahmoud Qassem, a surprise that will surprise you, wait for it soon."

The book will not address the biography of the artist Nabila Obeid, especially since she previously declared that her private life is a "red line" because it does not belong to her alone, and she said: I refuse to have the story of my life materialized, and I will write a will in this matter.

And she continued, "It is true that I write my memoirs myself, but I absolutely refuse to turn it into a cinematic or dramatic work, because the autobiographical works are a great failure."

The book includes monitoring of 86 films for the first Egyptian star during 50 years, especially from 1960 to 1990, and chapters of the most important directors with whom she collaborated in her works, most notably Youssef Chahine, Salah Abu Seif, Atef Salem (who discovered her), and Niazi Mustafa, Hassan al-Imam, Ahmad Zia al-Din, then Hussain Kamal, Muhammad Radi, Ali Abd al-Khaliq, Ashraf Fahmy, Muhammad Khan, Atef al-Tayyib, Saeed Marzouk, Ahmad Yahya, Samir Seif, Enas al-Deghaidi, Khaled al-Hajar, and others, as he pauses in front of her inspiration for the novels of the writer Ihsan Abd al-Quddus , and her collaboration with scriptwriter Mustafa Muharram.

It is noteworthy that Nabila Obeid announced two years ago the imminent publication of a book that monitors her cinematic career, prepared by the art historian "Mahmoud Qassem", who since 2018 has been developing a study entitled "Cinema Nabila Obeid", in which he monitors her artistic transformations and how she cooperated with the largest directors and writers, To make films that put her at the forefront of revenue in Egyptian cinema, and awarded her the title of Egypt's first star.
