Thunderbolt strikes a herd of camels in Saudi Arabia

A thunderbolt struck on Thursday evening, a herd of camels, west of the Afif governorate in Saudi Arabia, and led to the death of five of them, following the scattered rains in different areas of Afif and Mahd al-Dahab governorates and their surroundings on Thursday afternoon.

A circulating video clip showed the impact of the thunderbolt and the death of the camels that were affected by the rain and thunderstorms, near the Mughiran area (between Afif and Mahd Ad-Dahab).

The National Center of Meteorology had issued an alert yesterday evening, during which it is expected that active winds and thunderstorms will occur, accompanied by reduced visibility, on Afif and Dawadmi from 9:00 pm until 1 am on Friday.
