In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, the second session of the Ramadan Council was organized, last night, at Khorfakkan Stadium, held by the Sharjah Press Club of the Sharjah Government Media Office.

The cultural session, titled "Transgenerational Art: The Elements of Industry and Survival", hosted the Egyptian-Canadian star Mina Massoud, the Tunisian artist Dhafer Al-Abidin, and moderated by the media personality Muhammad Majid Al-Suwaidi.

The two speakers discussed the elements that would enhance the continuity of dramatic and cinematic works across generations, and contribute to achieving a positive imprint on the artistic scene through creative and distinguished works in all artistic elements.

They discussed their inspiring artistic experiences that reached the world through cinematic and dramatic works, stressing that the artist's path to reaching influential and global art is not easy, but rather requires great efforts in learning, preparation, perseverance and continuous pursuit.

Mina Massoud said that international works, such as "Aladdin", who participated in the championship, give the world an image about Arab works and stories that can spread in a large way and contribute to highlighting and elevating Arab art, pointing to the need for Arabs to strive for the global trend in dramatic and cinematic works.

He pointed to the importance of choosing the appropriate works that are commensurate with the artist's ability and ambition and to communicate his talent with good content, considering that humanity is what all means are based on, such as theater, cinema, series and others.

For his part, Dhafer Al-Abidin stressed the importance of preparing for artworks to ensure their impact and leave an imprint through them, and not to focus on the profitable commercial aspect only, which may affect the quality of work in all its elements.

He stressed the need for greater effectiveness in cinematic or dramatic works, to contribute to the transfer of the image, talent and the Arab story to the world, which requires the integration of roles in the elements of artistic work based on a sound way of thinking and the main goal of the work that generalizes to all elements of the work.

He explained that there are artists who participate in the production of works in order to present them in a different way, unlike the actor, who is restricted to his role in work only.

At the end of the session, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi honored the artists participating in the session, which was attended by a number of officials, artists and those interested.
