Nagasaki Prefecture has the highest culling rate for dogs and cats in Japan.

In an attempt to improve this situation, the hotel in Iojima, Nagasaki welcomed a protected dog as the hotel's signature dog.

At the hotel "i + Landnagasaki" in Iojimamachi, Nagasaki City, an unusual entrance ceremony was held on the 21st, and six new employees and two dogs protected in the forest of Shimabara City also participated in the ceremony.

At the beginning, General Manager Shigetsugu Asada encouraged new employees, "I want you to become an adult who understands the importance of life as two dogs join the company at the same time."

For the two dogs who joined the company, the annual salary can be refilled for one year's worth of rice, and the bonus is a contract that describes the hiring conditions such as yogurt, which is a favorite, and the paws of the front legs are firmly stamped with red ink.

The two dogs will be in charge of welcoming guests as "signboard dogs" under the title of "One Shelge" at the hotel.

After being taken over by a public health center as stray dogs and cats in Nagasaki Prefecture, more than 1,900 dogs and cats were slaughtered without finding a new taker, and the rate of slaughter was 71%, which is the highest by prefecture in Japan. It's getting higher.

The hotel will hold its first "transfer meeting" on the 29th of next month to find a protected dog picker.
