If the court in Fairfax, Virginia, takes a break on Friday until Monday morning, yesterday's hearing in the defamation lawsuit brought by Johnny Depp against Amber Heard has reserved its share of revelations.

The lawyers of the actress proceeded to the cross-examination of the interpreter of Jack Sparrow and in particular wanted to know more about his drug use.

And this is where his great friend Marilyn Manson (himself accused of rape and violence by former companions including Evan Rachel Wood against whom he is filing a complaint) comes into play.

During the famous stay of the ex-spouses in Australia which turned into tragedy (a torn fingertip), the rocker was not far away.

Inevitably, the friends saw each other and Amber Heard's lawyers therefore questioned Johnny Depp to find out if they were using drugs together.

attempts at humor

“We drank together, we took cocaine together maybe twice,” the

Pirates of the Caribbean

actor replied .

And when asked by opposing counsel if they've ever taken pills together, the

Ed Wood

star replied, "I once gave Marilyn Manson a pill to stop him talking so much. ".

This is not the only trait of humor that Johnny Depp allowed himself at the helm, unlike the London trial where seriousness was required and he lost.

Thus, when a photo showing a coffee table on which sits a Keith Richards demo, a metal box with a skull and the actor's initials engraved on it, and four lines of white powder, the actor replied that the box was his and that the powder looked like cocaine.

Only, "no" he's not carrying cocaine in that box, and for good reason.

“In my experience, cocaine is supplied in plastic bags.

If you put it in a box like that, chances are you'll leave a long line of cocaine behind you walking down the street, ”he replied, as relayed by the

LA Times

.

At another point, when Amber Heard's lawyer asked him if he ever drank whiskey first thing in the morning, Johnny Depp replied, "There's no time for happy hour, right?

The room laughed as can be heard on the Court TV live stream which airs the trial.
