Two days after the tragedy which claimed the life of a 38-year-old man, having thrown himself from a bridge over the ring road in Vénissieux, the Sûreté du Rhône launched an appeal for witnesses.

Investigators are trying to identify the driver of the vehicle which then hit the victim on the Laurent Bonnevay ring road.

According to several witnesses, the car described would be a "dark sedan" without further details.

The accident occurred Tuesday evening at 9:30 p.m. between kilometers 12 and 13 and heading south.

“The driver of the impacted vehicle has not yet presented himself to the police”, indicates the Sûreté du Rhône which invites anyone with information to contact 04 72 50 04 76 or 17.
