The debate between the two rounds between Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen was very well attended on Wednesday evening.

But he was the least followed in history.

Some 15.6 million people were at the rendezvous on all the channels that broadcast it.

Or 7.4 million on TF1 and 6.6 million on France 2, or 61.4% of audience shares between them.

Scores to which are added those of the news channels which broadcast the exchange live.

Crumbs for the competition

In 2017, 16.5 million viewers had watched the debate which already opposed Marine Le Pen and Emmanuel Macron.

The competition was satisfied with the crumbs.

France 3 thus took third place on the podium of the evening with a number of

Faut pas rêver

which captivated 1.2 million curious men and women (5% audience share).

In fourth place, M6 is under a million with 721,000 followers for

Cauchemar en cuisine

(2.9% audience share).
