The Egyptian judiciary says its word against the “wretched thief” and the victim: taking his share

The Egyptian judiciary decided to imprison the accused of stealing Fata's phone while making a video call with her friend, on Al-Hilal Hospital Street, in the center of Qena, for 6 months, with entry into force.

The victim of the thief, who was known in the media as the "lucky thief", told "Cairo 24" that since she received her phone after the arrest of the unfortunate thief;

She did not follow up on the case, indicating that she was surprised by the verdict issued against him today, with 6 months in prison, by saying: He took his share.

The events of the incident date back to last March;

When the Qena Police Department received a report from a girl;

She accuses a thief of stealing her mobile phone while walking on the street in Qena.

The girl said that while she was making a video call with one of her friends, on Al-Hilal Hospital Street in Qena,

Oblivious to her, a thief stole the phone from her hand, ran away, and after the accused stole the phone;

He looked through the screen, and her friend managed to take a picture of his face, and she posted it on the social networking site Facebook, and days later;

The accused surrendered himself to the investigation authorities, and brought the stolen mobile phone, and claimed that he had found it in the street, and denied that he had stolen it, and the phone was handed over to the girl.

A report was drawn up on the incident, and the accused was referred to the investigation.

After the surveillance cameras spotted him while stealing the phone, in addition to the girl’s friend taking a picture of him after stealing the phone during the video call.
