The Grouping of organizations for the protection of the Oise (Roso) is categorical.
This environmental defense association estimated that "nearly 50%" of the 350 water catchments made in the department "would be contaminated" by molecules of herbicide used in beet fields until 2020.
The case of Senlis
Twenty municipalities were thus singled out by the association at the end of 2021, indicates
Le Parisien
.
Recently, Roso sued the town of Senlis (Oise) for exceeding the regulatory limit of 0.1 micrograms per liter of water in the three municipal catchments.
The hearing was held on April 11 before the administrative court of Amiens (Somme).
According to the mayor of the town, the drinking water used in homes is not polluted but "non-compliant".
In other words, it can be consumed without danger as long as the levels of the metabolites observed are low, which is confirmed by the ARS.
Judgment will be rendered within two weeks.
