A Jordanian broadcaster angers the Moroccan audience, and apologizes on the air

The Jordanian star "Mays Hamdan" sparked a great controversy on social media when presenting a competition program on one of the Jordanian channels, which is shown during the month of Ramadan.

The Jordanian artist’s crisis began when she received a call from a contestant in the program and asked him about the capital of Morocco, but he was unable to find out the answer, so Mays Hamdan tried to help him in her own way, as she tried to simplify the answer to the contestant by bringing her closer to him, where she asked him how to tie the shoes, to answer the contestant out loud The capital of Morocco is Rabat.

Followers, especially Moroccans, attacked the social media and the artist Mays Hamdan, and considered that she insulted the Moroccan people and Morocco when she compared the capital of Morocco to a shoe.

During a phone call to Mays Hamdan with the ET Arabic program, she confirmed that she did not mean what happened and that the issue was a slip of the tongue, and she also apologized to the Moroccan people and asked them to forgive her.

Hamdan said, "No one knows how much I love Morocco, and I think that those who follow me on social media know very well that a month or two cannot pass without me presenting a Moroccan song through my social media accounts."

She added: What happened was a slip of the tongue, so forgive me for it while you are my beloved, my family and my people, and I am strong in your love.

And she commented: An unintended slip of the tongue, and I do not know who is sitting focused on the word in this way, and I would love for it to fall between me and you, even if it was not intended by anyone, so forgive me, you are my beloved, and I love you, and I die among you, and no one is ever upset with me.

She concluded her speech: I wish this topic was forgotten, because the love between you and me is much greater than a linguistic mistake, and I prefer to sing to you and control your dialect as much as possible.
