The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) organized a “Heritage Through Generations” event at the inheritance center (Al Sadu House) in the historic Al Shindagha neighborhood.

The authority opened the event with a dialogue session focusing on the Emirati heritage, with the participation of researchers and experts in heritage.

The Acting Director of the Cultural and Heritage Programs Department, Al-Anoud bin Al-Sheikh, said: “We carry in (Dubai Culture) the message of safeguarding, celebrating and disseminating the Emirati heritage, enhancing the concepts of its culture among members of society, and keeping its image present in their minds by celebrating the heritage of the ancestors and activating it on all occasions and throughout the year, To continue being passed down from generation to generation.

She added, "The long history and rich heritage of the emirate form a pillar on which to distinguish its bright present.

By instilling its values ​​in the hearts of our children, we offer them the opportunity to draw lessons from it and be inspired by an approach that will be the basis for their crossing from the prosperous present to a brighter future based on originality and creativity.”

The session was followed by a presentation of traditional crafts presented by Emirati artisans, as part of Dubai Culture's commitment to reviving the ancestral industry and preserving traditional crafts from extinction.
