The town of Lamballe-Armor (Côtes-d'Armor) recently received a long-coveted distinction.

This is the label “Terre Saine, communes sans pesticides”, awarded on a national scale.

It comes to reward a work started by the municipality several years ago.

The municipality has in fact wished to pursue a policy of total absence of pesticides in the products used by municipal employees.

Watch out for biodiversity

Phytosanitary substances have thus been banned during the maintenance of the green spaces of the municipality for more than six years, specifies

.

The objective is to protect the population and the civil servants of the city, to preserve the water of any pollution and to maintain the biodiversity within the fauna and the flora local.

Lamballe-Armor already received the “Zéro Phyto Durable” prize last year.

The “Healthy Earth, municipalities without pesticides” label was created in 2015 by the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition.

It highlights local authorities operating without phytosanitary substances.
