Recently, the Shaanxi Archaeological Museum, the first museum dedicated to archaeology in China, was officially completed in Xi'an and will be open to the public on a trial basis at the end of April.
The museum has a total construction area of more than 36,000 square meters. Relying on the research results of archaeological excavations in Shaanxi in the past 100 years and its more than 200,000 unearthed cultural relics, it is a large-scale comprehensive archaeological research institution integrating archaeological excavation, scientific research, and cultural relics protection. It is also a museum that reflects the development history of archaeology and tells about archaeological work.
