Fifa has just launched a free digital platform that offers a number of football programs, from the broadcast of matches around the world to the archives of the World Cups, including docuseries.

The International Federation wants to focus in particular on women's football.

FIFA is launching a free online entertainment platform already available in five languages.

Fifa+, that's its name, offers football fans live broadcasts of matches from championships around the world, archives of women's and men's World Cups, interactive games, and information and news on competitions.

The Fifa platform will also broadcast statistics, docuseries (like on the star hairdresser of footballers) and talk shows.

One of the first documentaries put online is devoted to Ronaldinho, a former Brazilian Ballon d'Or who notably passed through Paris Saint-Germain.

Promoting women's football

Fifa is therefore launching a new innovation, three years after the UEFA.TV platform created in 2019 by the European Football Federation.

One of the objectives of Fifa + is to highlight women's football, as the federation explains in its press release.

Each year, of the 40,000 live matches that will be broadcast on this site, 11,000 will concern women's teams.

The platform is already available in French on the Fifa+ site and in a mobile application.

Next June, the platform should be operational in eleven languages.

This launch also comes a few months before the Men's Football World Cup in Qatar, which is scheduled to open on November 21.
