With these data, the live music sector shows a slight symptom of recovery after two years marked by the coronavirus pandemic: live music

invoiced almost 160 million euros

in ticket sales, which represents a growth of one

13.7

% compared to 2020. This figure equals the turnover of the concerts of 2013. However, the collections are less than half of those received in 2018 and 2019, when 333.9 and 382.5 were collected million euros, respectively.

The changing security measures in the face of covid prevented the shows from achieving stable income until August, the month in which the number of attendees began to rise, thanks to the complete opening of capacity and the end of restrictions.

Ticket sales increased last quarter but fell short of expectations over the summer.

On the other hand,

Catalonia

is once again at the top of the podium of the communities with the highest profits with 36.7 million euros raised;

Andalusia

, with 26.1 million, the

Community of Madrid

, with 21.9 million, and the

Valencian Community

, with 11.9 million, were the next regions in number of tickets sold.

Although the general balance is positive, seven of the 17 autonomous communities presented worse balances in 2021 than in 2020.

In terms of festivals,

Marbella Starlite

was the event that received the most public, with 99,737 people.

Marenostrum Fuengirola

(81,556 attendees) and the

Jardins Pedralbes Festival

(76,674 people) occupy the top three positions.

Noches del Botánico, Muelle 12, Concert Music, Guitar BCN, Magdalena Deluxe, Nits del Fórum and Porta Ferrada complete the list of massive events with the best attendance, according to APM data.
