A tragic end for an American who decided to wash his car

NBC reported that a 56-year-old man died after being trapped in a Southern California car wash.

"The preliminary investigation indicated that the man broke into the car wash and, for an unknown reason, tried to get out of his car," Escondido police said in a statement.

At the time his car was surrounded by machinery.

Police added that the fatal accident occurred at a self-service car wash center.

"The initial investigation revealed that the man broke into the car wash and, for an unknown reason, tried to get out of his car," the statement added.

However, the car swayed forward and left, pinning the man to a pole containing a huge washing-brush.

The police managed to get the man out and he was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
