On April 19, Shanghai held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic.
At the meeting, Wu Ganyu, a first-level inspector of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, introduced that on April 18, 1,211 local confirmed cases in Shanghai were discharged from hospital, and 22,075 asymptomatic patients were released from centralized isolation and medical observation. They will return to their places of residence for health monitoring.
Wu Qianyu said that 23,286 cases were discharged from the hospital, which exceeded the number of new positive infections, and more and more people were discharged from the hospital.
