Six years ago, in a redo trial of a defendant accused of injuring four passengers by driving a car on a national highway in Utsunomiya City at a speed exceeding the speed limit, the second trial in Tokyo The High Court found that the crime of dangerous driving fatal injury was established, contrary to the first instance, and sentenced him to seven years in prison.

In June 2016, a passenger car collided with a guard pipe on the side of the road on a national road in Utsunomiya City, killing two people and injuring two people. He was charged with dangerous driving fatal injury for driving at a speed of over 50 km and causing an accident.

In the trial, whether or not it was dangerous driving became an issue, and four years ago, the Utsunomiya District Court of the first trial sentenced him to seven years in prison for dangerous driving, but the Tokyo High Court of the second trial has not exhausted the trial. I ordered the trial to be redone.

In the redo trial, the Utsunomiya District Court sentenced him to five years in prison for negligent driving fatal injury, saying that "the speed was not beyond the control of the car," and both the prosecution and the defendant appealed.

In the decision of the second trial on the 18th, Judge Masato Ito of the Tokyo High Court said, "I ran on a road with a sharp curve with one lane on each side and not enough shoulders at a speed of 91 km / h or more. It is obvious, "he pointed out, and admitted that the crime of dangerous driving fatal injury was established contrary to the first trial.

He then sentenced him to seven years in prison, saying that "the consequences of killing and injuring four people are significant."
