In an attempt to support Ukraine, where Russia's military invasion continues, schools in Kyoto have begun helping to sell Ukrainian food in the cafeteria and donate a portion of the proceeds.

Starting with the call of the students, we will deliver it to our sister city, Kieu, through Kyoto City.

At the junior high school and high school attached to Kyoto Gakuen High School in Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City, we started to support students to donate a part of their sales in collaboration with the school cafeteria management company on the 18th.

For lunch at the school cafeteria, we ask you to make a menu of Ukrainian dishes such as a set meal of butter-flavored chicken katsuretsu, and collect 100 yen out of sales of 370 to 500 yen per meal as a donation.

In the cafeteria, many students ordered a menu of Ukrainian cuisine and enjoyed it as a "silent meal" without conversation.

In addition to the cafeteria, the school sells chicken katsuretsu at the school's stores, collects donations until the 22nd of this month, and delivers the donations to its sister city, Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, through Kyoto City.

Kari Tabuchi, a third-year junior high school student who planned the event, said, "I was distressed by the news of Ukraine and came up with a donation thinking about what I could do. I hope it will be of some help to Ukraine." rice field.
