The daily number of Covid-19 contaminations continues to decrease while hospitalizations remain stable, including in intensive care, according to figures published this Monday at the end of the day by the health authorities.
Public Health France reports 19,810 cases of SARS-CoV2 virus contamination on Monday, a figure traditionally low on Monday because it takes into account the results of the day before, when many laboratories and pharmacies are closed.
No decrease in resuscitation
The average of infections over the last seven days, which smooths out statistical jolts, stands at 116,852, against 117,664 on Sunday and 135,338 a week ago.
Hospitals had 24,990 patients with Covid-19, compared to 24,992 the day before and 24,205 a week ago.
Of these 24,990 patients, 1,635 were in critical care (which receives the most serious cases), against 1,589 on Monday April 11.
The epidemic has caused the death of 44 people in 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths in France to 144,205 in just over two years.
On the vaccination side, 54.303 million people have received at least one dose (80.5% of the total population) and 53.40 have a complete vaccination schedule (79.2%), according to figures from the Ministry of Health.
