On the morning of April 17, after three and a half hours of surgery, the kidney transplant was successfully completed.

Li Quanyuan, deputy director of the Organ Transplantation Department of Sinopharm Dongfeng General Hospital, said on the 18th that the postoperative indicators are improving.

Next, the patient will undergo a series of treatments such as anti-rejection and is expected to be discharged from the hospital in about three weeks.

If the recovery goes well, the patient will return to school after a year to resume learning and life.

Xiaoyu's father works at the construction site and is the only source of income for the family.

Before the operation, teachers and students of Shiyan Science and Technology School actively donated more than 12,000 yuan, which was delivered to the patient's family as soon as possible.
